Spiked Hot Chai Cider with Ohio Bourbon

Chai spice- infused apple cider pairs with Ohio-made Watershed Distillery Bourbon to make a warm and cozy cocktail, perfect for fall and winter evenings. The recipe makes two cocktails and can be multiplied to serve as many guests as desired. For a large batch, try keeping the spiced cider in a crockpot to keep warm.
  • 1 c apple cider
  • ½ c water
  • 1 T whole chai spices
  • 3 oz. (2 shots) of Watershed Distillery Bourbon
  1. In a small sauce pan, add the apple cider, water, and chai spices. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and allow the spice to seep for 10 minutes. Strain the chai spices through a fine mesh sieve.
  2. Add ¾ c of the chai-spiced cider to each glass or mug, pour in 1.5 oz (one shot glass) of bourbon to each drink and stir. Serve immediately with apple slices to garnish.
