Who likes to treat themselves to a nice latte? I know I do.

I love frequenting my local coffee shops for an almond milk latte with homemade syrups and sugars. With all the good lattes we have in Charlotte I’ve become quite picky in my drink choices. Lucky for me we got our very own Nespresso as a wedding gift just over 6 months ago.

I enjoy the Nespresso coffee pods but I especially like to play around with the different espressos, making my own lattes, americanos, and affogatto. This latte combines the cozy flavor of maple, with the warm heat of cinnamon, and just a touch of vanilla.

You can make the maple cinnamon syrup ahead of time and store it in the fridge until ready to use. Then just warm up some milk, brew your espresso, and whip up a latte. Treat yourself in the morning, but I like this on a weekend afternoon with a pastry or muffin.

Maple Cinnamon Latte

Easy and favorable at-home latte.
Ingredients
  • ¼ c pure maple syrup
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk of choice (I use almond)
  • 1 shot espresso
Instructions
  1. Whisk together the maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Store in a sealed jar until ready to use.
  2. Heat the milk in a small pot until it begins to simmer or in a heated milk frother.
  3. Brew the espresso. Whisk one teaspoon of the syrup into the espresso. Pour in the milk and stir.
  4. Enjoy immediately
